Lucky pupils at Tansley
Primary School took part in a variety of hands-on lessons and workshops recently, expanding both their imaginations and experiences. Designed to educate pupils about African history, art, music, geography
and story-telling, the day was heralded a hit by Headteacher Tracey Holmes said: "It was fantastic and the children really enjoyed it. Staff who have visited the continent spoke to pupils about their experiences."
Parents also had a treat of African rhythms from a performance of an African drumming arrangement by the pupils at the end of the day.
