Oakwood children are being given the chance to take part in free sports coaching sessions. Derbyshire
Constabulary's Safer Neighbourhood Team for Oakwood has organised the
sessions in conjunction with Sporting Futures, Springwood Leisure
Centre and Derby City Council.
Coaching
has been taking place since last month, and sessions are held every
Tuesday and Thursday between 6pm and 7pm at Springwood Leisure Centre,
Springwood Drive.
PCSO Matt Russell said "We hope the young people in the area will avail themselves of this great opportunity. "The
young people who have come along enjoy themselves and can talk to the
police informally and get to know their local officers." |
