Description
Fischers

Baslow Hall, a typical Derbyshire Manor House, lies on the edge of the magnificent Chatsworth Estate in the heart of the Peak District National Park.

Despite its Elizabethan appearance, the Hall was in fact built in 1907 for the Reverend Stockdale and was a private house until Max and Susan Fischer came here in 1999 to create their 'Restaurant with Rooms'. The time taken in restoring and refurbishing the building enables us to offer you the highest standards of accommodation. Our bedrooms are decorated in a truly individual and elegant style and have been awarded the prestigious Cesar Award for the 'Best Restaurant-with-Rooms in Britain and Ireland' by the Good Hotel Guide 1998. We have a total of 11 bedrooms, the five 'Garden House' rooms being of a more contemporary style, set within a private courtyard.

Our Michelin-starred Dining Room continues to achieve national recognition from all major guidebooks, the latest being the Good Hotel Guide 2004 - Top 10 Hotel for Gourmets. In the AA Guide 2007 we are being upgraded to one of only 15 Restaurants in the UK to receive 4 Rosettes for innovative cuisine. Under the personal supervision of Max and his Head Chef Rupert Rowley, you can be assured of the very best of Modern European cusine during your stay with us. Sample menus can be viewed on our website.

I do hope that this information will tempt you to visit us. If you wish to make a reservation, need assistance with the planning of your stay, or simply require more details, please contact reception on 01246 583259 or visit our website.
