This beautiful, quaint, closely knit village is situated on a limestone plateau rising 900 feet above sea level. The village itself is proud that, in the past, it has won several best kept village awards.

While taking a pleasant stroll around the village, one thing you will notice is all of the beautiful stone buildings, many dating as far back as the 18th century and for some of the buildings, even earlier still.

Alstonefield is situated in a lovely part of the Peak District with beautiful areas surrounding the village. The village is loved every year by passing tourists and ramblers walking in the area.
