There has been a plea for volunteers to help run a fruit and vegetable Hurst Farm scheme in Matlock. The
non-profit making five-a-day project based at Hurst Farm Community
Centre, which was set up in September by Rebecca Goodman, health trainer with
Derbyshire Dales CVS. Folloiwng unprecidented success organisers are now
looking for people to help out.
The food co-operative runs
every Monday morning between 9:30am and 11am. Customers pre-order
fruit, vegetables and salad bags costing £3 per bag and collect them when ready. The volunteers are needed to take orders, bag up produce and deal with suppliers for around three hours a week.
