New Website Reveals Dales Movie Locations

The importance of local towns such as MAtlock and the surrounding Dales' in cinematic history has been highlighted by a fabulous new website that shows the filming location of thousands of films throughout the ages. Famouslocations.com has shown the location for such famous film scenes such as the Red House Stables in Darley Dale played a key role in the filming of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The Red House Stables Working Carriage Museum has one of the finest collections of original horse drawn vehicles and equipment in Britain.

One of the most famous and well known locations is Chatsworth House, which was recently used for The Duchess, starring Keira Knightly. Many period dramas and movies have also been filmed here, including the 2005 production of Pride and Prejudice and the 1986 film Lady Jane. Jane Eyre was also filmed there in 2005.
