Swadlincote
and District Lions Club will be holding an annual collection outside
Morrisons supermarket, Swadlincote. Everything that is collected will be distributed to needy families.
Volunteers will be at the store between Wednesday, December 3, and
Sunday, December 7. The Lions Club is inviting shoppers to buy extra items and hand them in to members as they leave.
A
spokesman said "We hope people will show their usual generosity and
help to provide us with sufficient grocery items to make up at least
100 Christmas hampers." |
