A local soldier, Capt Pam Sheldon of the Royal Horse Artillery who is currently serving in Basra, found herself the recipient of a welcome treat on her birthday recently from the Bakewell Pudding Shop. The former Lady Manners pupil was delighted to be reminded of home in such a fine manner! The gift had particular significance as Pam had worked at the Bakewell Pudding Shop in previous years.
Pam's mum Diana originally had the idea and approached the shop requesting a small donation to sent the puddings out to her and her collegues. The Bakewell Pudding Shop was more than happy to help and generously sent 6 puddings out immediately for Pam and all of her fellow soldiers to enjoy.
Diana had received the verdict once they were all enjoyed." They were delicious. We would like to thank the Bakewell Pudding Shop for their generosity." |
