Chef Robert Muxlow has gained a great reputation for his food over the last decade in the Derbyshire area. Since his Award Winning Sunday Lunch at the Tavern in Tansley in 2002 he has never looked back. Dedicated to using local, fresh produce, he is well known for catering for everyone's palate from a home-made, tasty pie to a mouth-watering a la carte dish.
He and his partner plan to offer theme nights throughout the week, including Steak Nights, featuring Robert's famous 'sizzling' sauces.
After his recent position at Merlins of Matlock, Robert is looking forward to this new venture, hoping to maintain a warm, country pub atmosphere, producing quality, fresh food.

Local Attractions Ashford itself has a number of points of interest for the visitor.
The Church of Holy Trinity has features which date back to its Norman origins.
The villagers of Ashford maintain the centuries old tradition of Well Dressing. Every year for Trinity Sunday, six wells are dressed providing a colourful spectacle.
The sheepwash bridge in the centre of the village is a medieval packhorse bridge close to the site of the original ford. The practice of bringing sheep to wash them before shearing persisted until a very few years ago and is demonstrated annually during Well Dressing Week.
Ashford is the ideal centre for a walking holiday in the Peak District. Many beautiful routes lead from the village in all directions. Within easy reach are excellent private fishing gounds, golf courses, riding stables and the Tissington Trail, a route very popular with walkers.
Monsal Head is nearby, as are many delightful towns and villages such as Buxton, Matlock, Ashbourne and Castleton famous for its Blue John Caverns. The area also contains some of the country's finest historic houses - Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall amongst them.
