The George Hotel in Tideswell, Derbyshire is an historic 18th Century Coaching Inn with exceptional character. It is ideally situated for holidays in the Peak District National Park. We are open all year round offering Bed & Breakfast accommodation, home-cooked food and real ales.
The George Hotel is next to the Church of St. John the Baptist, shown in the picture below. Attracting visitors from far and wide, it is known as the 'Cathedral of the Peak'.
From its beginnings back in 1730 as a coaching inn, warm hospitality continues to be offered at The George Hotel to both local and tourist guests throughout the year.
Our dining areas are comfortable, well lit and traditionally decorated. We have a lunchtime menu from 12- 5 and an evening menu from 5 -9 all consisting of traditional home-cooked dishes. |
