Sue Clere and her family welcome you to the Waterloo Hotel in Taddington, a village at the heart of the Peak District National Park. Sue and her husband Kevin are your hosts. Sue's daughter Jackie is the chef and her husband Pete is the bar manager. All our staff are well-trained and are happy to help with any enquiries you may have.

This family-run hotel became a coaching inn soon after the famous battle of Waterloo. Prior to then it was known as Sough Farm due to the nearby sough, or drainage tunnel, that drained local lead mines and provided water to this limestone terrain.

Today our hotel offers not only quality accommodation, food and drink, but also a spacious function room that can be used for weddings, anniversaries, conferences etc

The Waterloo Hotel has an extensive range of menus to suit every taste. From our superb bar meals through to menus for wedding receptions, anniversaries, parties of other functions, we are sure we will be able to please you.

Served: 12 noon - 2.45pm Monday to Friday, 12 noon - 9pm, Saturday 12 noon - 7.45pm and Sunday traditional Sunday lunch is served through out the day,

Accommodation
We have two bedrooms with double beds and en suite facilities, one of them with bath and shower over, the other with shower only.

We have one twin-bedded room with bath and shower over.

All rooms are £65.00 per night for the room inclusive of a full English breakfast.

Single occupancy costs £35.00 per night

Weddings

Sue and her staff can arrange everything you need for your big day from the ceremony to the food, the flowers, the photography and the entertainment or you can simply use the Waterloo's spacious function room for your evening reception if you wish.

With room to seat around 100 people, large gardens for your pictures and a patio area for you to enjoy, the Waterloo has everything you need on one site.

For guests who are travelling, the Waterloo also offers three ensuite bedrooms with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside.

The self contained function room, which has its own bar, also has an adjoining sun lounge where you can take advantage of the summer weather.

Wedding bookings are being taken now and Sue is more than happy to give any interested couples a guided tour of the Waterloo's facilities.

As well as weddings, The Waterloo Hotel also offers traditional, homecooked food seven days a week, including traditional Sunday lunches for which booking is advisable.

The function room is available for birthdays, conferences and meetings and the friendly staff offer a warm welcome to all customers. The Waterloo also boasts a beer garden to enjoy the summer and a log fire to warm you in the winter.
